1. Setting – Where does the story take place? Is the place real or imaginary?
2. Time - When does the story take place?How can you deduct that from the text? (even if the author does not say it explicitly)
3. Characters – How are the characters described?what do you know about them?
4. Theme – What is the text really about? Is there an overall theme? ( love, hate, sadness, envy...)
5. Plot – What is the challenge the main character has to overcome or deal with?
6. Message – What message do you think the author wants to convey to the readers.
7. Entertainment value – Why do/don’t you like the text?What caught your attention?
8. Language – what style does the author use? (formal, informal, colloquial, dialect...)Sentence length (long or short)
9. Genre – What genre does this text belong to (fantasy, sci-fi, romance, diary...)

Vocabulary

1. 30 ord från Pride and Prejudice och Bridget Jones’ Diary – 15 att förklara på engelska och 15 i meningar med linje (där ordet ska in). Ska lämnas in med radavstånd på 1,5.
